Small day lockers inside Octoberfest???

I read backpacks are not allowed inside the beer tents.

I plan on shopping for souvenirs first, what do people do with their stuff before heading into a beer tent?

Hi Lauren,

You're right, big backpacks aren't allowed inside the beer tents. You can bring smaller ones and handbags though.

Anyhow, I don't recommend to bring much, because it might be stolen. Unfortunately there are pickpockets on the Oktoberfest grounds and you have to be on your watch.

If you can't leave your stuff in your accommodation, there's a baggage deposit located directly at the entrance to the Underground station Theresienwiese. When you exit the underground station, turn to your right, and there it is.

The price is 2,70 Euro per piece per day and the opening hours are 11 a.m. To 11 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
