When will summer sales start in 2011? i will be travelling to Munich in mid July, will sale season have started by then?

The summer sales (Sommerschlussverkauf) in 2011 starts on the 26th of July. But you can already get some heavily discounted things in the 3-4 weeks before that time.

Depending on the weather, discounts start quite early before the official start.

I'm sure you'll have enough opportunities to buy great bargains in Munich.
