Which tent has most unreserved seats?

Hi,

please could you help, there is 20 people coming on the 1st day to Oktoberfest without reservations for any tent.

Which tent should we head for and is 11 o'clock early enough to start queueing?

Hi Nicholas,

On the opening Saturday every tent will be packed, but especially the Schottenhamel, where the "Anstich" is.

If you want to get tables for 20 persons without reservation, you have to try your luck and come really early (around 9 a.m.).

But beware that you won't be served any beer before noon, as this is the official opening time. Before that, only soft drinks can be ordered.

Therefore we usually watch the opening procession and then slowly walk towards the Wiesn afterward.

But then, we usually don't go into the tents on the first day, but rather sit outside in the beer garden.
