Connection Munich - Munich airport

We plan to come this summer to Munich by bus, from Croatia. Then continue on a plane to Egypt.
What is the fastest way reach from the main bus station to the airport Franz-Josef-Strauss?
Do we have to go to Munich and then take Lufthansa's bus or we can connect us from the main bus station to the airport?

Hi Visnja,
the main bus station has recently been moved from Fröttmaning to Hackerbrücke.
Please make sure which station you arrive. At Hackerbrücke, you can change directly into the Airport S-Bahn S1 or S8.
