Extension of Tourist Visa

I am visiting Germany on a tourist visa. I am from India. I had planned for a 60 day vacation and my visa was issued with a 62 day validity. Now I have to extend the trip by a couple of weeks. Does anybody here know how to do it?

Hi,

you will need to go the "Ausländerbehörde" at the city where you are located during your stay in Germany.

They are the only ones who can decide, whether your visa will be prolonged or not. But they are usually very restrictive and you will need a very good reason to do so (i.e. sickness).
