Family reunion visa for Indian spouse who is married to british citizen for germany
Hello,
I am an Indian and my husband is holding a British passport.
He was born in UK and he then returned to India at the age of 6.
We both got married in India in 2008. Now he has gone to Germany for long term project from a software company. He didn't require any visa or work permit to get there.
Now I want to join him ASAP and would like to apply for a visa. Do I require any residency permit from my husband to present along with other visa documents?
How much time will it take to process my dependent visa ?

Hi,
Unfortunately I cannot give you a detailed answer. As British citizen your husband is allowed to work anywhere in the European Union.
But Great Britain is not part of the Schengen Agreement, therefore I'm not sure if his British residency is enough to get you a Schengen Visa for Germany.
Please contact the German consulate where you live to find out exactly what papers you'll need.
