I am heading to Oktoberfest in Munich for 2009. I was wondering if you had recommendations on where to stay, what the best tents are, and anything I need to know about going.

Reserve your hotel as early as possible!

Reserve your hotel room as early as you can! Some hotels are booked out for Oktoberfest time up to one year in advance and prices tend to skyrocket.

A good place to stay is near Hauptbahnhof, because there you have the Underground going to Theresienwiese (where
Oktoberfest is held).
