Should I visit different beer tents?

Hi

There will be two of us visiting the Oktoberfest this year.

Do most people only visit for one day and choose one tent, or would it be considered normal to hang around for two or three days and go to a variety of tents? Also do they serve good German sausage in addition to chicken? Thanks.

It's definitely normal to stay 2-3 days and visit several beer tents.

My friends an I visit the Oktoberfest at least 5-6 times during the two weeks it takes place.
It is always fun, so why would you want to go only once?

Personally I think the perfect day at the "Wiesn" is to go first and ride a few of the fun rides, eat roasted almonds and then head for one of the beer tents. Stay a few hours, drink some beer or Radler and leave before everyone else gets too drunk :-)

If you can, visit different beer tents. Even though the party is great in anyone of them, they differ slightly in music, atmosphere and visitors. Everyone has a favorite tent, go and find yours :-)

Chicken is by far the most popular food in the tents, but you can get many other foods as well. Usually you will also be able to have "Nürnberger Bratwürstl", great sausages from Nuremberg.
