Things to do in and around Munich/Stuttgard

What are some "must-see" sights and tourist attractions in/around Munich and Stuttgart?

We are visiting Germany and Paris and have about 7 days. We will need to find worthwhile things to do.

I'm looking for beautiful countrysides, bodies of water, pilgrimages, breweries, etc.

Hello,

there are so many sights and tourist attractions in Munich, you could spend a lot more than 7 days.

Here are my favorites:

- Marienplatz with the famous Glockenspiel
- Koenigsplatz, with two museums
- Deutsches Museum (for friends of science and technology)
- Nymphenburg palace, with its vast park and the botanical gardens
- BMW World and BMW museum(for all lovers of German cars, a must-see)
- Kloster Andechs: monastery and brewery with a spectacular view to the Ammersee

Day Sailing Trip Lake Starnberg
Rafting (soft version) on river Isar
Hiking Ammerschlucht
Bicycling Starnberg to Andechs Monastery

These are wonderful ideas! I always wanted to do Isar rafting, but until now have never come around to do so. This is a to-do on my list for this summer :-)
