Hi Amy,

as Philippine National you need a visa, even if you want to stay as a tourist in Germany.

The requirements for a Tourist visa are:

-evidence that you have enough money to cover the costs of your stay in Germany

-if you don't have proof of sufficient funds, you'll need an invitation from someone based in Germany pledging to cover all your costs (in your case this could be your sister)

-travel health insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, which is valid in all Schengen countries

-demonstrate the willingness and ability to return to your own country

You can find more information here:

Visa will be issued by your nearest German consulate or embassy and they can provide you further details as well.

If you need further help, you can buy the VAP - Schengen visa application package, a practical guide aimed at providing you with all the information that you need in making a successful Schengen visa application.

VAP is tailored towards guiding you through what you need to do, when, how, where and in what format. It is presented in an easy to follow series of items that you will find very useful and very practical.
