Visiting Visa Sponsoring

I want to sponsor a person from India, to obtain a visiting visa.





He wants to go to Italy before the expiry date of the visa. What are the problems a sponsor can get?

Hi Filip,

as a sponsor you are responsible for all expenses the tourist does and cannot pay for himself.

As Italy is part of Schengen, it's no problem to travel there before the expiry of the visa. But in case the visa holder decides to stay illegally in Italy for longer than the visa allows, you could be held responsible for that.
