What happens every night after the tents shut??
Hi, its our first time this year for Oktoberfest.
We were wondering if we should stay in Munich or stay in the camping with tents areas.
I see that every night Oktoberfest finishes at 11pm, what does everyone do afterward?
Shall we do the camping and kick off drinking more with everyone at the camp sites or does everyone go into Munich??

Hi Mike,
It really depends on what you want!
Oktoberfest does close at 11p.m. and many people just go home. If you enter the tents at 11a.m., then you will celebrate 12 hours and drink a lot of beer. For most persons, this is enough.
But if you want to go on partying then there are many options in Munich. I.e. the famous night club P1 offers "After Wiesn" party every night. Anyone dressed in Dirndl and Lederhose has free entry.
Another option is "Das Wiesnzelt" at Stiglmaierplatz. They claim to have original Oktoberfest feeling with live band and beer. Tickets can be booked in advance and are 38€ including 16€ food voucher.
Or else you can stay on a camp site and party there.
There are definitely enough possibilities to party 24 hours a day in Munich :-)
